Google Business Tours

The Capture Factory produces Google Business Tours that allows the viewer to see inside the company building. With the images taken for these tours, we found we could create Facebook 360 photos.

To create a 360 photo, images need to be a 2:1 aspect ratio, with maximum file dimensions of 6000 x 3000 pixels. The Capture Factory combined 4 photos taken at different angles from the same place. These fit together to create the 360 degree view of that specific location. The Capture Factory then uploaded these images to PTGui, a computer software used to stitch together the images to form the 360 view. Once the images had been stitched together, the pixels were changed to 6000×3000.

Photoshop Perfection

In Photoshop The Capture Factory edited the image so the bottom of the photo was not obscured by the tripods legs. To perfect the image, The Capture Factory removed any unappealing aspects of the photo e.g. mud, dirt, shadows. Once all traces of tripod other unwanted features were removed, The Capture Factory adjusted the brightness and contrast to develop the overall look and feel of the image.

The Capture Factory found that you cannot export the image for Web Legacy as this removes all the meta data and Facebook would therefore not recognise this as a 360 image.
